It diagnoses your current status, identifies the root causes—strengths or weaknesses—and helps you create a development action plan. The behavioral mapping steps will elevate your leadership skills and enhance your leadership charisma.

How to Use Our Scanner

  • Take time to thoughtfully consider each question, reflecting on whether you have faced a similar situation. It’s normal to be uncertain when asked about experiences you haven’t had before. In such cases, it’s okay to answer with ‘I haven’t experienced this’ or ‘Partially, not for some behaviors.’ Just explain your current status honestly.
  • Identify the root causes behind your answers—pause for a moment to think about the direct cause and its underlying factors. This will help you pinpoint the true ‘root’ of the situation. Once you’ve identified the root cause, build your development action plan around it.
  • Pay attention to variations, discrepancies, or inconsistencies in the root cause; these often highlight areas that need change and can help shape your development actions.
  • After completing the questionnaire, consistently follow your development actions for 21 days to achieve 70% of the desired change. Continue for 3 months to achieve the remaining 30%. These actions will help establish behavioral standards embedded into your behavior.
  • Review and refine your actions continuously until the behavioral changes become automatic and dynamic parts of your personality.

For Business Uses

  • A collective exercise can be conducted through workshops.
  • Sessions should be led by senior leaders within your business.
  • Answers should consist of a list of common behaviors, followed by a thorough ranking to assess the criticality/priority of each behavior. Development actions should then be created based on these rankings.
  • Prioritization should align with the strategic business plan and consider how the chosen development actions will impact the strategy.
  • Senior leaders should embed the changes into their teams’ development plans.
  • Development plans should include team leaders and above.
  • Link the agreed-upon development actions with Behavioral KPIs across the six dimensions: Leadership, Attitude & Attributes, Communication, Problem-Solving & Systems Thinking, Political Savvy, and Strategic Thinking.
  • Each dimension can be rated on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being high and 1 being low. A total of 30 points can be allocated for the behavioral 30% portion of your leaders’ KPIs.
  • Reward the results, with up to 30% contributing to the leaders’ bonus.
